Voice-to-Print

We'll shape your spoken words into a small book. Your verbal story is transcribed and lightly edited, such as removing "uhms" and "ahs." Your story and your voice remain authentically "you." Then we mail your free book. There are no strings attached. No upsell.

Why are we doing this?

Over the years I've heard so many moving stories. But spoken truth is fragile. Many of those stories are now lost to time. So, I decided to help preserve as many stories in print as possible.

Also, if your story is compelling, it's possible I might ask you to allow me to help you bring it to a wider audience under our Traditional Publishing Lane. Think of this as our scouting program.

How does it work?

First, you record your story. Up to 45 minutes. Any story. Then send us the audio file. We recommend using the StoryCorps free app to make it simple. But any way you choose to record is fine. If you use StoryCorps, either send us the audio file, or easier, your username and a temporary password so we can login and download your story. Our email is: MyVoice@scriborapublishing.com

Second, we process your story through our unique Voice-to-Print process. It's automatic and quick. It's how we are able to do this for free. I custom-built this software to retain your authentic voice. We all hate AI artificial rewriting. When people read your book, they'll know it's you.

Third, we print your transcribed story in a small paperback book, including a QR code link that links to your original audio, so people can hear you speak as they read along. We mail your book to you. We also email you the formatted pdf file, so you can self-publish if you wish. Or, you can ask us to list it on Amazon for you. We can list both the paperback and the Kindle version as a courtesy.

A life story

Everyone has one great story.

Maybe everyone knows it. But maybe no one does, and it will be lost forever when you're no longer around to tell it.

How would you like to tell it one more time and have it recorded and preserved in a small book? A book you can share. You can do that right now.

A recovery story

Hi, I'm Ken, and I’m an alcoholic. I'm seven years into recovery. I’ve sat in the same chairs as many of you—NA & AA meetings that helped save me.

Today, I’m in a good place. I’ve learned to live one day at a time, practice the gratitude prayer, and "pay it forward."

It wasn’t easy getting here. Telling my story has been a meaningful part of my recovery. Maybe it can be part of yours.

A religious journey

In 2018, I walked out of church, vowing to never return. I was bitter and burned. I did not know the word "deconstruction" then.

I went through all the stages of grief. Deconstruction is messy and painful.

Today, I’m in a good place. Healing has happened. I've even joined the Episcopal Church. Pretty wild for this old fundamentalist Baptist.

My reconstruction is still a work in progress. But now I can say... I feel home. I feel ok.

Do you have a similar story?

A health struggle

Over the last 12 years, I've come to know emergency rooms as a second home. Heart surgery, pulmonary embolisms, sepsis and more have been my admission tickets to hospital beds.

Last year, as a side effect of medication, I was on a catheter for seven months.

On top of it all, I suffer from bipolar. The mood swings can get bad. In the last seven years, I've been inpatient twice for depression.

I've learned to be "just this moment." To bless each day and just breathe. These and other lessons have been learned through suffering.

We feel so alone when we suffer. Sharing helps us and others feel less alone and make it through another day.
