What's included
How it works
We transcribe your recordings and gently edit them to make them easy to read without changing your voice. We hand-craft your design layout into elegant chapters, make sure name spellings are correct, carefully place your photos where they look best, and custom design your cover. When everything looks perfect, we publish and send you your keepsake book.
Record your story
We use the free StoryCorps app for your recording. It was created so ordinary people could share their everyday lives. StoryCorps has helped over 700,000 people record and archive their stories.
You don’t need a script or a plan—just your voice and a moment of honesty. You speak; the app records. We take it from there and turn it into a book.

You get phone support and a real human Story Helper to guide you from the very first step. From beginning to end, we help you shape your book, including adding an optional introduction or preface. Everything we do is custom, careful, and one‑on‑one—the way a life story like yours deserves.
Your audio is safely archived.
Every story you record is automatically preserved in StoryCorps—the world’s largest nonprofit story archive. Your recordings remain yours and are downloadable anytime.
QR codes links at the beginning of each story.
We place a QR code at the top of each story chapter so when your family scans it, they can hear your voice tell each story as they read it. This links to your audio file that's archived in StoryCorps.
Hand placed photos.
Not every story has a photo. But many do. We can add photos throughout your book, as well as at the beginning and end. We work with you to place them where we think they will look best. If your photos need touch-up, we take care of that.
Beautiful, handcrafted cover.
We'll work with you to create a custom cover, including your photo on the front if you wish.
Clean, edited transcripts of your spoken stories.
As you tell each story, your transcript is privately visible for your review. You can easily make changes. Of course, we will also read your stories and help you edit where needed.
Complete publishable files.
When we’re done, you receive the fully formatted, publishable PDF files and the Kindle‑ready EPUB version. You could publish these anywhere, but we hope that you’ll let us publish your keepsake book for you. Unlike others, we don't hold your book hostage.

We send you a beautiful hardcover copy of your book for free. We hope you will allow us to print additional copies for your family, but even if you self-publish, this copy is on us.

We prepare your manuscript and cover, upload everything for you, and publish your hardcover book on Amazon so you and your family can order copies anytime. We can also publish the Kindle version for you. We do it all.

Your book won’t be marketed publicly, but it will always be findable—even decades from now—for future generations. If you allow us to publish it, each additional hardbound color copy (up to 300 pages) is just $59.
Archived online.
No one can guarantee "forever." But as long as the Library of Congress exists, and the Internet Archive continues, your stories will live online. Great-grandchildren should be able to find your stories.
